The people nation was loosely formed in prison as a way for gang members who were separated from their own gang during incarceration to have a way to protect themselves from rival gang members. When asked they represented themselves by saying “I am People.” Clothing was traditionally worn to the left side. It could be an earring in the left ear, the left pant leg rolled up, or a cap tilted to the left. They use the slang term “All is Well” to disrespect the folk nation.
